Order Management Services

Neustar Order Management Services (OMS) includes all services necessary to manage number port activity through the entire lifecycle. The process starts with an assessment of whether the change is viable to updating NPAC, the directory services, and E911. There are 30 steps in the number port process. Neustar has automated over 90 percent of the processes to eliminate rework related to errors and to speed response. If any part of the process hits a snag, Neustar experts are there to remedy the situation instantaneously. The entire process includes managing the physical interconnectivity among the networks and communications among the carriers. Neustar offers a turn-key, end-to-end porting solution to our customers. However, if customers have a need for only one of the services in the workflow process, Neustar will offer Order Management Services in a stand-alone mode also. Workflow and Transaction Processing

Our unique workflow and transaction processing databases and systems enable communications service providers to exchange essential operational data in a secured manner. These services all come with a standard interface.

The provisioning flow works as follows: upon receipt of a request for service activation on a new account, the customer’ staff submits an LSR to a trading partner to port the new customer’s number from his existing provider. Because the customer’s uses the same GUI, she is able to ensure that an SOA request is implemented in the NPAC without losing any time. Last, she finalizes an ASR with another trading partner to obtain the necessary access for the customer to complete service activation. All three provisioning services are available via one interface which leads to efficient order processing and easy order tracking. Accounts move from set-up to revenue generation in an orderly flow without the burdensome capital outlay to implement multiple interfaces.
