Integrated Communications Providers (ICP)
As providers of diversified service portfolios with highly expanded market reach, ILECs (incumbent local exchange carriers) have become integrated communications providers (ICPs). No longer limited to voice services, ICPs are enriching their service portfolios to include data, video, wireless service and access, entertainment, and directory management. ICPs encompass international, national, and local markets. They manage regulated as well as non-regulated business lines, complying with regulatory constraints while meeting shareholder expectations.
NeuStar has developed a suite of services that support ICPs' daily activities in the end-to-end management of their regulated and non-regulated business lines.
For cost-effective management of local service accounts - particularly in an ICP's non-regulated business lines - an automated workflow that includes:
- Local Service Request (LSR) to submit porting requests through a single interface to multiple service providers.
- Service Order Administration (SOA) to complete number porting activities by updating the Number Porting Administration Center (NPAC) and receiving confirmation that a specific number has been associated with a service provider.
- Access Service Request (ASR) capabilities to order access to customer premises.
- Line Information Database (LIDB) and Calling Name (CNAM) Database functions to update numbers.
- Primary Inter-exchange Carrier (PIC) records and Customer Account Record Exchange (CARE) Clearinghouse capabilities for seamless automation of the complex procedures that govern the exchange of customer and carrier records in adherence to all industry standards updates.
- Enhanced 911 (E911) to comply fully with public safety mandates.
