Our executive team is comprised of experienced leaders who take seriously our stewardship as the communications industry's trusted facilitator of change. Through their vision, NeuStar has created unique databases and systems that directly impact the way North American communications providers - local carriers, multiple service operators, wireless and Internet service providers, long distance carriers, domain name registrars and content providers using common short codes - service and meet the demands of customers. Executive Profiles

Jeffrey E. Ganek
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Ganek has served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer at NeuStar since December 1999. Prior to joining NeuStar, he was Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Communications Industry Services (CIS) at Lockheed Martin, an advanced technology company. CIS, which was divested from Lockheed Martin in 1999 to form NeuStar, provided clearinghouse services to the telecommunications industry. Ganek holds a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's degree in public policy and management, both from Carnegie Mellon University.

Lisa Hook
President and Chief Operating Officer

A distinguished executive with rich experience in advanced IP services, voice and wireless telecommunications, Ms. Hook is responsible for leading NeuStar's operations as they continue to grow and expand worldwide. She also leads NeuStar's exploration of opportunities in IP-based communications, mobile data, and computer telephony convergence. Prior to joining NeuStar, Ms. Hook spent the majority of her career at AOL and Time Warner in a variety of executive-level posts, including president of AOL Broadband, Premium and Developer Services, AOL Anywhere, and AOL Mobile franchises, and chief operating officer of Time Warner Telecommunications. Ms. Hook has also been partner at Brera Capital Partners LLC, and managing director at Alpine Capital Group LLC. In addition, she served as legal adviser to the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and was senior attorney at Viacom. In the year prior to joining NeuStar, Ms. Hook was president and chief executive officer of SunRocket, Inc., a Virginia-based voice over IP (VoIP) service provider. Ms. Hook holds a bachelor's degree from Duke University and a J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law at Pennsylvania State University.

Jeffrey Babka
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Babka has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since joining the company in April 2004, and led NeuStar’s efforts in support of its initial public offering and listing on the New York Stock Exchange in June 2005.  Mr. Babka’s 33-year career includes a wide variety of financial and operational management and executive positions with a concentration in telecommunications, including a long tenure at AT&T, Lucent Technologies, and Concert. Prior to joining NeuStar, he was Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer of Indus International, a publicly-held service delivery management software company. Mr. Babka is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Dayton, and obtained his MBA from Manhattan College. He is a graduate of the Stanford University Executive Program, and obtained CPA certification in Ohio in 1974.

Mark D. Foster
Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Foster has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at NeuStar since November 1999. Prior to joining NeuStar, he was an independent consultant for Communications Industry Services (CIS) at Lockheed Martin. Foster is also the lead inventor of local number portability and is heavily involved in the industry technical, policy and regulatory discussions leading to the adoption of local number portability. He holds a bachelor's degree in physics and computer science from the California Institute of Technology.
