Neustar, Scores of Industry Thought Leaders Descend on Silicon Valley for Cloud Connect Conference
Neustar actively seeks out events, tradeshows and conferences where the atmosphere is conducive to innovation – and in Silicon Valley this month, the “perfect storm” came in the form of Cloud Connect, where Neustar joined thought leaders, vendors, end users and interested parties from every corner of the cloud computing ecosystem to discuss and shape the future of the burgeoning industry. Attendees analyzed cloud computing from a number of different vantage points including development within the cloud context, the risks and opportunities inherent in moving part (or all) of a business into the cloud, and the all-important standards and government issues that shape the industry.
At Cloud Connect, Bitcurrent analyst and featured speaker Alistair Croll was heard to call cloud computing “the grey matter for the next stage of human evolution” – and almost as if on cue, Neustar proceeded to put one of its brightest minds on display. Senior Vice President and Senior Technologist Rodney Joffe drew a huge audience as he discussed the biggest cloud in the tech universe – the Conficker computer worm – and how enterprises can protect themselves against this ever-mutating threat.
